HARRIS COUNTY MAKES BIG CATALYTIC CONVERTER BUST

Last night, in NW Harris County, 4 individuals attempted to flee during a traffic stop. All were quickly apprehended. Harris County Sheriff’s deputies along with Precinct 4 Constables recovered 32 fresh stolen catalytic converters.  In addition over $14,500 in cash was recovered.  Catalytic converter theft is A Thing and it seems the problem is only getting worse. Texas is a hotspot State.  It’s best to watch carefully where you park … try to pick a well-lit area, especially if you have no other choice than to street park your car, or a secure garage.  On average, scrap yards are paying approximately $200 – $500 for each Catalytic Converter
