On April 16, 2017, Constable Mark Herman’s Office was involved in the pursuit of a vehicle and suspect after deputies attempted to stop the vehicle for a traffic violation. Deputies observed a Hispanic male driving a white Jeep Cherokee run a stop sign located at the intersection of Brushy Glen Drive and Grovedale Drive. Deputies attempted to stop the vehicle using emergency lights and siren, however the suspect sped up in an attempt to escape. The suspect vehicle pulled onto the 20800 block of Fernbush and the occupants fled the area on foot before a perimeter could be established to contain them.
Investigating deputies learned the Jeep Cherokee had been involved in minor accident and the driver fled the scene without providing the required information. The owner of the Jeep Cherokee was contacted and advised that the male driver was a relative. The suspect was then identified as Adam Soto and a warrant was filed for his arrest.
