HAVE YOU SEEN THIS GUY?

Police say he murdered a young man who stepped up and tried to protect his mother as this man robbed her in a Subway sandwich shop

Charges have been filed against a suspect wanted in the fatal shooting of a man at 3933 Broadway about 8:45 p.m. on February 22.

The suspect, Jeffery C. Archangel (b/m, 25), is charged with capital murder in the 337th State District Court for his role in the killing of Javier Flores, 18, of Houston.

An April 2017 photo of suspect Archangel is attached to this news release.

HPD Homicide Division Officers D. Crowder and A. Vinogradov reported:

Two male suspects entered the Subway restaurant at the above address and held an employee (Mr. Flores’ mother) at gunpoint.  As Flores tried to intervene during the robbery, he was shot.  The suspects then fled the scene.  HFD paramedics transported Flores to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Further investigation led to the identity of Archangel as a suspect in this case and he was charged on Thursday (May 4).  He remains at-large at this time.

Anyone with information on Jeffery Archangel’s whereabouts is urged to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
