About 4:15 pm a vehicle rounded the curve at Johnson Mallard and Wiggins when the driver was met head on by a red pickup. The truck completely in his lane slammed into him head on totaling his vehicle. The male driver and female passenger then jumped out of the truck and fled the scene to their home just down the street.
When DPS arrived family members were on the scene but did not know where the two that fled were after they can home and told them of the crash.
The other driver suffered minor injuries. DPS is searching for the driver of the truck.
While on the scene a rider of a newly designed bicycle rode up. The man who built the bike called it a “Beer Bike” , “if you can’t get up onto it to go to the store to buy more beer , you don’t need it.”, he said.
