When a fire or emergency call goes out seconds count. But those seconds can quickly turn into minutes for crews attempting to find your home. Many times on rural roads mailboxes are grouped together with addresses on the sides of them, Impossible to see without getting out of the vehicle. Some people put numbers on the front of the box but still which home does it belong to.
Sure someone can go to the street and meet them. But what about your mother, grandmother or disabled family member living alone. How are they found?
Caney Creek Fire Department has helped people overcome this by making reflective street sign type address plates. Put them on your fence or a post near your driveway where it can be seen from both ways.
