Anyone visiting the Kroger store on the corner of FM 1314 and northbound US 59 may briefly wonder if a hurricane is in the Gulf and scheduled to impact our area, from the looks of things inside the store. Many of the shelves are bare and bins empty.
There’s good news, and more good news! First of all, as of Sunday April 2, there is no known hurricane headed toward southeast Texas any time soon. Secondly, the FM 1314 & US 59 Kroger shelves are half empty because the store is closing on Tuesday and the much larger Kroger Marketplace at Valley Ranch Town Center will open Thursday!
Don’t worry about your favorite cashiers and other store employees, they’ll be at the new location.
Meanwhile, neither of MCPR’s creators saw any signs, but we’re guessing there’s a bargain to be had on items such as the loose chicken nuggets pictured below…
