Just before 9 pm Conroe and Caney Creek Firefighters were dispatched to a report of smoke coming from a mobile home in the Pine Creek Mobile Home Park in the 300 block of Porter Lane. When they arrived they had heavy fire conditions with heavy smoke. Engine 3 which is stationed on Foster Lane a short distance away was first in. When firefighters made entry they found a male victim on the floor who was non-responsive. MCHD responded and he was transported to Conroe Regional Hospital with CPR in progress. The very old mobile home suffered extensive damage. The Conroe Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating. At this hour FM 1314, Porter Lane remains closed between Avenue M and Davis(SH105). It is unknown if working smoke detectors were present.
