The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office says this year’s Sharing is Caring drive was the most successful in the event’s history, thanks to the generosity of county residents. Working alongside partner law enforcement and first responder agencies, the Sheriff’s Office collected 9,307 pounds of donated items, including 6,139 pounds of food, 2,832 pounds of water, and 336 pounds of hygiene items. In announcing the results, the Sheriff’s Office thanked everyone who donated, volunteered, and helped make the record-breaking year possible, saying the community’s kindness shows what can be accomplished when residents come together.
