Congratulations to the newest member of the retirement population, Scott Jackson. After 18 years of steady, dedicated service supporting the Precinct 2 community, Scott will be working his own hours.
While he was a member of the team, he operated almost every machine that was put into service in response to drainage, road and right-of-way work. If additional hands were needed for any other project, Scott was always one that we could count on to do the job whether it was for a typical day or a natural disaster.
If a call came in the middle of the night, he instinctively picked up on the second ring to assist as a first responder to clear the roads. He served us all by stepping out into the rain-swollen easements to clear clogged ditches or driving through snow and sleet during winter freezes to spread material on the roads.
The service he provided for all of Montgomery County Precinct 2 was, as he stated, “just another day to do something good, and to be better the next day.”
Thank you and your family for your time with us. You’ll be missed. May your next chapter of life offer many days of a happy retirement.
