MONTGOMERY COUNTY – Montgomery County Public Health District, in conjunction with the Montgomery County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management, can confirm the following update related to COVID-19.
· TOTAL cases of COVID-19 increased by 98 to 10,912 since Friday’s (9/25) report.
§ We have continued to process cases that were reported to The Department of State Health Services (DSHS) directly by healthcare providers and entered into the National Electronic Disease Surveillance System (NEDSS). Out of the 98 new cases today, 17 were tested prior to 8/28.
· ACTIVE cases of COVID-19 increased by 39 to 1,576 since Friday’s (9/25) report.
· 20 residents are known to be in the hospital, as a result of contact investigations. Contact investigations have not been initiated on all reported cases.
· 7,345 people have clinically recovered.
