Montgomery County Judge Doyal has been suspended immediately without pay following Friday’s Montgomery County Grand Jury indictment. Judge Doyal responded this afternoon along with his attorney John Choate. Also attending was Attorney Steve Jackson who represents Political Consultant Mark Davenport, a private citizen who was also indicted. The charges came to light last year involving the Montgomery County Road Bond being put on the Commissioners Court agenda. The Montgomery County Attorney’s Office also investigated and found no grounds. The Texas Rangers then investigated and they too found no crimiinal activity. It was then presented to the Montgomery County Grand Jury and after several months returned an indictment. It is still unknown how Davenport, a private citizen could be also indicted. Judge Doyal will appeal the decision on July 13th.
