MONTGOMERY COUNTY PRECINCT 4 PURSUIT SHUT DOWN BEFORE IT STARTS

Wednesday night a Montogomery County Precinct 4 Deputy on patrol spotted a white Suzuki motorcycle which he believed was the same one that had run from several officers in the past. He followed the bike from Sorters and Northpark toward US 59 while calling for backups. The motorcycle approached US 59 and turned south. As the rider stopped for the light at Kingwood Drive he was surrounded by Precinct 4 Deputies. He attempted to flee but was stopped before he did. The driver was identified as David Edward Armendariz, 43, of 2134 Little Cedar Drive in Kingwood. The motorcycle had been stolen in Harris County. The deputies also spotted an altered gas cap. When they investigated they discovered a package of meth. Armendariz was arrested and transported to the Montgomery County Jail. He is charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle and possession of a controlled substance. His bond was set at $9,000.
