School Threat Arrest

On December 31, 2021, the Montgomery County Precinct 1 Constable Office secured an Order of Apprehension for the December 17, 2021, threat made on Snapchat against Willis High School. The juvenile turned himself into our office for a Class A Misdemeanor. (Section 37.125 of the Texas Education Code; Exhibition, Use, or Threat of Exhibition of Use of Firearm) and was then transported to the Montgomery County Juvenile Detention Center without incident.
Constable Cash again thanks all of our area partners (Willis ISD, the Texas Department of Public Safety-Highway Patrol, the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office ICAC Task Force, the Montgomery County Attorney’s Office, and the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department) for their response and assistance with this case.
Constable Cash and Superintendent Dr. Harkrider urge parents to hold discussions with their children and explain the serious, long-term consequences of making any kind of threat on the internet.
