Going into the weekend it is easy to lose track of the weather forecast. It looks like there is a growing potential for severe weather and flooding starting Sunday going into the work week. The details are sketchy at best even 3-5 days out but still enough concern that we need to monitor forecast data the next couple of days.
Multiple Hazards – Severe weather possible Sunday afternoon/night – mainly damaging winds/hail. Heavy rainfall and flooding potential Sunday night and again Monday night into Tuesday. Coastal/Marine hazards with strong SE winds, rough seas, above normal tides and rip currents.
When – Mainly Sunday through Tuesday but this depends on the hazard as outlined above.
Where – Severe weather threat mainly west of a Houston/Madisonville line for Sunday. Heavy rainfall/flooding mainly western half of SE Texas for late Sunday but could expand to include all of SE Texas Monday night into Tuesday.
