At 12:35 am Sunday 911 operators started receiving calls of a silver Honda Accord that was southbound on FM 1485 and ran the red light at SH 242. A Martin Brower 18-wheeler was eastbound on SH 242 and in the intersection as the Honda came through. A witness said when the truck driver blew the horn the Honda driver never slowed down or altered course. The 18-wheeler hit the passenger side rear door of the Honda spinning it off the roadway. The teen driver and passenger were transported to the hospital in stable condition. The truck driver was not injured.
