Shenandoah Police Deliver on “to SERVE and Protect”

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX- Shenandoah Police went above and beyond the call of duty Monday, making sure innocent people didn’t suffer for someone else’s crime. A Shenandoah Officer spotted and, without incident, stopped a stolen vehicle that was northbound on I-45. SHPD says the driver, Lanya Moore, was not only caught in a stolen vehicle, she was also carrying a loaded handgun.

Officers arrested Moore, who was out delivering packages when she was stopped. Inside the stolen vehicle was a package with an address just around the corner from the location of the arrest. Shenandoah Officers hand-delivered the package to the local resident!

Lanya Ziye Moore, 22, of Houston is charged with state jail felony Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle and class A misdemeanor Unlawful Carry of a Weapon.
