645PM-Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office SWAT is again on the scene of the suspect who fired on an officer Saturday night then vanished in the open fields and woods. He is now believed to be in the house at the location. SWAT is on the scene. FM 149 remains open, however, there are multiple units on the roadside. In the past hour, only about 1 vehicle in 10 slows as they pass these officers and patrol units.
Specifically, Texas law states that a driver must either:
- Vacate the lane closest to the applicable vehicles stopped on the side of the road (if the road has multiple lanes traveling in the same direction),or
- Slow down 20 mph below the speed limit. (If the speed limit is below 25 mph, the driver must slow down to 5 mph.)
