Vehicle Pursuit with Narcotics

On October 28, 2019 Deputies with the Montgomery County Precinct 5 Constables Department attempted to stop a vehicle on SH 249 in Magnolia, Texas.
Deputies observed a green pick-up truck make multiple traffic violations and tried to make a traffic stop on the vehicle. The driver of the vehicle, who was later identified as Robert Hamilton a 37-year-old male of 7522 Flair Oak in Jersey Village, Texas, ignored the emergency lights and began to evade from the Deputies. The pick-up approached the traffic light at SH 249 and Decker Prairie that was backed up with traffic due to the time of day. Robert then began to ram vehicles trying to get through the light. After hitting 3 or 4 vehicles Robert ran into the back of a large truck which disabled Robert’s vehicle. Robert and the passenger in the truck, who was later identified as Mariah Pelikan a 23-year-old female of 4807 Rivertree Lane in Spring, Texas, were immediately detained by Deputies. One of the drivers of a vehicle that was rammed by Robert observed items being thrown from the vehicle. A brown bag was recovered outside the truck. After searching the truck and the bag several illegal items were recovered. The items found were 28 grams of Morphine, 1.2 grams of Methamphetamine, .8 grams of Heroin, 12 Suboxone patches, 20 Clonazepam pills, 1 gram of Marijuana and a .45 caliber loaded pistol. Robert and Mariah were arrested and taken to the Montgomery County Jail and released to jail staff.
Robert Hamilton was arrested for evading arrest with a motor vehicle a third-degree felony, Felon in possession of a firearm a third-degree felony, manufacture, and delivery of a controlled substance greater than or equal to 4 grams but less than 200 grams also for a Pardon and parole warrant. Mariah Pelikan was arrested for manufacture delivery of a controlled substance PG1 greater than 4 grams but less than 200 grams, an assault warrant and another Montgomery County Court at Law misdemeanor warrant.

The goal of this office is to continue to eliminate drug trafficking in this County. With the help of the community, we will work diligently to keep criminals off of the streets.”
