Just after 5 p.m. multiple calls started coming into the 911 Center in Montgomery County reporting a head-on crash just east of the San Jacinto River bridge which is in a construction area. Caney Creek Fire and MCHD responded to the scene. They arrived and found a 29-year-old female in a Scion trapped and deceased. According to witnesses, the Jaguar was driving in an erratic manner eastbound on SH 242. She struck the concrete retaining wall and went into the westbound lanes where she traveled approximately three-hundred feet before striking the Scion head-on. DPS is currently making notification of next-of-kin. The names will be released later. DPS is also asking for anyone else who witnessed the crash to contact DPS.  Keiths Wrecker removed the Jaguar from the scene and A-Plus Wrecker removed the Scion.
