Windy with a cold front early Thursday

Bottom Line
Scattered showers and thunderstorms will develop Wednesday evening ahead of an approaching cold front with the potential for some of these storms to produce strong gusty winds.
Winds and seas will continue to build with increasing southerly winds and advisory conditions developing early Thursday morning. A cold front sweeps through the region Thursday
morning and much cooler weather returns with strong northerly winds.
Overview
Strong to moderate southerly flow will dominate the weather tonight as an upper-level storm system brings a cold front to the area Thursday morning. The strong to severe thunderstorm
threat has shifted slightly further north out of Southeast Texas as of this time but stay tuned. Some showers Wednesday and Wednesday night should precede the cold front
with the threat for thunderstorms increasing toward sunrise and throughout the morning on Thursday.  Stronger storms with strong gusty winds may be possible north of Huntsville.
Much cooler weather in the wake of the front is expected.  Wind chill readings Thursday night and early Friday should be in the 21-31 degree range as winds inland begin to gradually relax.
Dry weather Friday through Sunday with the chance of rain Monday and a weakening cold front that may not make it to the coast and probably lead to a wet and rainy early week.
