A6:40 this morning a call came in for a major accident involving a car and 18-wheeler at Lonestar Ranch and SH 242. Caney Creek Fire Department was dispatched and was unable to locate it. Then at 6:53 another call came in for a crash involving an 18-wheeler at South Trade Center and sh242. Needham Fire Department was dispatched to it. While they were en route the location changed again to Great Oaks and SH242.
Needham Fire Department arrived on the scene and found a red Ford F-150 parked into the side of the 18-wheeler. They immediately called for rescue. MCHD transported Thomas E. McGinnis, 75, of Spring to St. Lukes Hospital in stable condition.
Woodlands Haz-Mat was also requested to the scene as one of the fuel tanks had a severe diesel fuel leak. Woodlands was able to pump the tanks out which enabled Milstead heavy duty wrecker to move the truck.
According to DPS, Gary Davis, 54, of Evanston, Illinois was east bound on SH242 and attempted to make a u-turn from the right lane. Not seeing the Ford pickup he turned into him.
