Monday evening, Splendora Fire Department responded to a crash where a 4-year-old boy was reportedly ejected from a vehicle and another victim was trapped in a Ford pickup that landed on its roof. A fire crew worked to free the trapped victim and called Cleveland Fire Department for assistance.
MCHD arrived on scene and called for Life Flight while at least four other victims were transported by ambulances. The accident took place in an intersection on Fostoria Road and SH 105 in east Montgomery County.
In order to minimize flight time, the child was taken to the Porter Fire Station to meet with Life Flight.
DPS troopers are in the process of determining whether or not the child was riding in a car seat, if he was actually ejected, and other details.
SH 105 was closed for over an hour as traffic was diverted around the scene.
