On May 18, 2011 at approximately 6:27 p.m., the Huntsville Police Department responded to a report of Injury to a Child. Officers with the Huntsville Police Department met with the parents of the 10-month-old child at Huntsville Memorial Hospital, where the child was being treated for bruises to the face, neck and torso.
The child was transported to Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston, Texas for precautionary observation, and was released to the parents on May 19, 2011.
Detectives from the Huntsville Police Department responded to the Huntsville Memorial Hospital and initiated an investigation which led to the arrest of Allison Nicole Ross, 07-08-1981. Ross is a daycare worker at “Taking Care of Kids Daycare” in Huntsville, Texas and was responsible for the care of the 10-month-old child on May 18.
Ross confessed to causing the injuries on the child and was subsequently arrested and charged with Injury to a Child, a third-degree felony.
The daycare’s owner is cooperating in this ongoing investigation.
