HOME DEPOT BUILDS MCSO SIMULATION TRAINING FACILITY

On Thursday, September 22, 2016, representatives from Home Depot’s Humble store, (Team Depot District #79), are donating their time and labor to build a simunition training facility at the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office off of Hilbig Road, in Conroe, Texas.

Simunition training is the safe and effective staging or reality-based training using technology and specialized equipment. This training utilizes reality-based tactical operations while using training firearms that use color marking or plastic projectile ammunition. The training enhances law enforcement effectiveness and safety, in realistic scenarios.

The simunition training facility will be utilized for this reality-based training. Deputies from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, as well as other agencies, will be able to conduct simunition, breaching, and tactics training once the facility is complete.

The Humble Store Manager and Team Leader for Team Depot District #79 is Ambrose Witkowski. The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office would like this opportunity to say “thank you” to the Home Depot’s continuous support for the Montgomery County Law Enforcement Community.
