MONTGOMERY COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE BLOTTER FOR WEEK ENDING 9/8/16

District 1 – Lt. Kevin Ray (North County)

On 8/30/2016, Deputy Merlos was dispatched to the 15100 block of Dogwood Lane, in Conroe, in reference to a trespasser in progress. Upon making contact with the male suspect, he was displaying signs of intoxication. The male was issued a criminal trespass warning and arrested for public intoxication. The male was transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

On 8/30/2016, Deputy Collignon initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle with a defective headlamp. Deputy Collignon made contact with the male driver who was showing to have active warrants. The warrants were confirmed, the male arrested, and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

On 8/31/2016, Deputy Taylor was on routine patrol in the area of FM 3081 and Gulf Coast Road. Deputy Taylor made contact with a female who was showing to have active warrants. The warrants were confirmed, the female was arrested, and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

On 8/31/2016, Deputy Soroko responded to a motor vehicle accident in the 9400 block of FM 1485. Upon making contact with one of the drivers involved, he was found to be intoxicated. The male was arrested for driving while under the influence and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

On 9/1/2016, Deputy Campos was traveling on East Highway 105 when he observed a vehicle passing other vehicles in the middle turn lane at a high rate of speed. Deputy Campos was able to stop the driver, who did not have a valid driver license, and showing signs of being intoxicated. The male driver was not able to perform field sobriety test. The male was arrested for driving while intoxicated and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

On 9/2/2016, Deputy Parsons observed a vehicle commit numerous traffic violations, did not have a working license plate light, and third brake light. Deputy Parson made contact with the female driver who claimed to be the owner of the vehicle. The vehicle had a paper tag that did not return to the vehicle and did not match the registration sticker. The female was arrested for display fictitious license plate and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

On 9/2/2016, Deputy Cross was dispatched to a warrant service in the 11000 block of Newton Circle. The male was detained and the warrant was confirmed. The male was arrested on the warrant and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

On 9/2/2016, Deputy Merlos was dispatched to a warrant service on Midwood Circle, in Conroe. The male was detained and the warrant was confirmed. The male was arrested on the warrant and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

On 9/3/2016, Deputy Rollins was in the area of 3300 block of North Walker Road conducting a theft investigation when he was approached by a female. Upon identifying the female, she was found to have an active warrant. The warrant was confirmed, the female was arrested, and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

On 9/4/2016, Deputy E. Martin was dispatched to welfare concern in the 13000 block of Longstreet Road, in Willis. Upon arrival, Deputy E. Martin made contact with a male who was kneeling at the end of a driveway and showing signs of intoxication. Deputy E. Martin found the male had an argument with his girlfriend and had been walking from the driveway into the street. The male was arrested for public intoxication and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

On 9/5/2016, Deputy Campos conducted a traffic stop on Highway 75, on a vehicle with a broken tail light. Upon identifying the female driver, she was found to have an active warrant. The warrant was confirmed, the female was arrested, and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

On 9/5/2016, Deputy Parsons conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a broken brake light. Upon making contact with the male driver, he was found to have an invalid driver license. The male was arrested for driving while license invalid and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

On 9/6/2016, Deputy Parsons observed a vehicle with no license plate light. After stopping the vehicle, Deputy Parsons learned the driver did not have a valid driver license. The male was arrested for driving while license invalid and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

 

District 2 – Lt. Jim Fleming (South County)

On August 29, Deputy J. Allen was sent to the 25500 block of Interstate 45 North, in reference to a stolen vehicle. The Deputy located the vehicle and detained the male driver. The 40-year-old male from Houston was arrested at 2:20pm and transported to jail.

On August 30, Deputy S. Lee was notified of a suspicious vehicle in the 400 block of Rayford Road. The Deputy located the vehicle parked in a business parking lot. A male associated with the vehicle was detained for public intoxication. The 36-year-old male from Conroe was arrested at 1:08am and transported to jail.

On August 30, Deputy D. Bible observed a suspicious male sitting in a vehicle located in the 24800 block of Interstate 45 North. Upon making contact with the male, the Deputy observed several locking picking tools and two handmade electronic devices used to bypass coin drop sensors in coin operated machines. The male admitted the devices were designed to bypass the coin switch. The 28-year-old male from Conroe was arrested at 5:44pm, charged with unlawful use of criminal instrument, and transported to jail.

On August 31, Deputy Z. Vercher stopped a vehicle on a traffic violation in the area of Interstate 45 North near River Plantation. During the investigation, the male driver was found to be in possession of a controlled substance. The 30-year-old male from Conroe was arrested at 10:13pm and transported to jail.

On September 3, Deputy W. Sharman responded to the 9700 block of FM 1488, in reference to an assault call. The Deputy met with a male complainant who advised he and his girlfriend got into an argument that led to the female acting belligerent and throwing items and her striking the male several times in the face with her fists. The female refused all commands given by the Deputy and was then detained. The 35-year-old female from Magnolia was arrested at 10:54pm, charged with assault and interference with public duties, and taken to jail.

District 3 – Lt. Joe Senn (East County)

On August 30, Deputy Kelman was dispatched to the 21800 block of East Martin Drive, for an assault call. While in route, the 50-year-old male suspect fled the location in a vehicle owned by the victim. Upon arrival to the scene, the female victim advised she was assaulted by the 50-year-old male and he then pulled out a knife on her. The female called 911 and the male the fled.

Other officers in the area located the male and he began fleeing from them in the car. After a pursuit, the male was apprehended. The male was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and placed in jail.

On August 30, Deputy Durenberger was dispatched to the 15700 block of Hayden Road, for a car in the ditch. Upon arrival, a 56-year-old female driver was identified and appeared to be intoxicated. An investigation was begun and the female did show signs of intoxication. The female was subsequently arrested and transported to a local hospital where a blood draw was performed. The female was then transported to jail without incident.

On August 31, Senior Sergeant Logan was dispatched to a suspicious person call in the 24000 block of FM 1485, where a female was laying on the floor of a laundromat refusing to leave after being asked by the owner. Upon arrival, a 36-year-old female was found on the floor and would not speak to the deputies. The female was found to be under the influence of some type of intoxicant and was arrested for public intoxication.

On September 1, Deputy Frey was dispatched to the 17500 block of State Highway 242 to assist an off duty officer who was working safety in the construction zone. Upon arrival, the off duty officer had a 21-year-old male detained who had driven around the barricades in the construction area. The male gave consent to search his car and a bag of marijuana was located. The male was arrested and transported to jail.

On September 1, Deputy Cooke was dispatched to the area of Needham Road and Ford Road, for a male who was calling 911 repeatedly for a civil matter. Two officers had already spoken to the 43-year-old male and advised him his issue was a civil matter and not to call 911 unless he had an emergency. The male called 911 approximately 10 more times where he was abusive to the dispatchers and cursing at them. The male was found to be intoxicated and was placed under arrest for abusive 911 calls. The male was transported to jail where he continued his belligerent behavior.

On September 2, Deputy Kelman was dispatched to the 19300 block of FM 1485, for an assault call. Upon arrival, the female complainant was met and it was observed the female had several injuries. It was then learned the complainant’s 26-year-old daughter became mad at her for not being allowed to use the car and assaulted the complainant. The 26-year-old female actor was located, arrested, and charged with assault.

On September 3, Deputy White, Deputy Bird and Deputy Smith were dispatched to the Tractor Supply store in Porter for a theft. While in route, Dispatch advised the actors were leaving in a white passenger car. The car was located as it was fleeing the area and a 25-year-old male, a 38-year-old male, and a 21-year-old female were located in the car. It was found the three had worked together to steal a pair of jeans and a shirt from the store. As the trio was leaving the store, the 25-year-old male picked up a set of keys from a person checking out who was found to be an elderly female. The 25-year-old male was charged with theft from the elderly, the 38-year-old male was charged with felony theft for having multiple theft convictions, and the 21-year-old female was issued a citation for theft and released from the scene due to no criminal record. The two males were transported to jail without incident.

Four other people were arrested for outstanding warrants.

District 4 – Lt. Allison Amundson (West County)

On September 5th, a District 4 Patrol Deputy was dispatched to the Sonic on State Highway 249, in reference to a welfare check. Upon arrival, the Deputy met with a 29-year-old female on scene who admitted to recently taking methamphetamine, was not feeling well, thought someone had stolen her home, was without her shoes and identification. The female refused medical assistance and was taken into custody for public intoxication.

On September 5th, a District 4 Patrol Deputy arrived in the 31000 block of Sheppard Street, in reference to a warrant service. Upon arrival, the Deputy made contact with a 47-year-old male and placed him under arrest for a felony warrant for injury to a child.

On September 5th, a District 4 Patrol Deputy was dispatched to the 25000 block of Decker Prairie Road, in reference to an assault past. Upon arrival, the Deputy met with complainant who

advised she had been attacked by a 24-year-old female while sitting in her vehicle waiting for her husband. The complainant had multiple injuries to her face. The Deputy made contact with the female suspect who said she was just fed up with the complainant being disrespectful. The female suspect was taken into custody for assault causing bodily injury.

On September 5th, a District 4 Patrol Deputy was turning into Hazy Hollow from FM 1774 when he observed a red Mustang without a registration sticker. The Deputy initiated a traffic stop and made contact with the 22-year-old male who was driving. Dispatch advised the male had a felony warrant for unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon. The warrant was confirmed and the male taken into custody.

On September 4th, a District 4 Patrol Deputy was dispatched to the 37000 block of FM 1774, in reference to a welfare check on a vehicle that was driving erratically. The Deputy located the vehicle at a Shell Station and made contact with him. The 31 year provided indicators of intoxication. After an investigation, the male was taken in to custody for driving while intoxicated, (2nd Offense).

On September 4th, a District 4 Patrol Deputy was dispatched to the 29000 block of Highland Blvd, in reference to a theft. Upon arrival, the Deputy spoke to the store clerk who advised the subject had returned the items and they did not want to pursue charges. The Deputy located the 25-year-old male and was advised he had a warrant through Harris County for possession of a prohibited weapon. The warrant was confirmed and the male taken into custody.

District 5 – Lt. Gary Welch (Northwest County)

On August 20, 2016, Deputy Warren responded to the 20000 Block Bluewater Drive, in reference to a disturbance in progress. It was reported two friends went out drinking and returned home where an argument ensued. A male was arrested for assault.

On August 20, 2016, Deputy Thomas was working at 12900 Walden Road, when he observed a male operating a motor vehicle in a reckless manor by speeding through the parking lot and squealing tires. The male entered a public roadway in a hazardous manor to other drivers. The male driver was arrested for reckless driving.

On August 21, 2016, Deputy Pankratz responded to the 10700 Block of Hillside Drive, for a disturbance. It was reported that a mother and daughter were in an argument when the mother put her daughter in a choke hold and impeded her ability to breathe. The female was arrested for assault.

On August 23, 2016, Deputy Cano responded to the 1900 Block of Minero Lane, in reference to a suspicious person, in which a male was upset about having to leave a residence. The male informed Deputy Cano that the female home owner kept marijuana in a container on her back porch. The marijuana was located and the female was arrested.

On August 23, 2016, Deputy Cano responded to the 12700 Block of Brightwood, in reference to a disturbance. It was reported that two male siblings were in an argument over a cell phone when one tried to punch the other. The male was restrained at which point he bit his sibling twice. The male suspect was arrested for assault.

On August 26, 2016, Deputy Zapf responded to the area of Interstate 45 and FM 1097, in reference to a reckless driver. Deputy Zapf located the vehicle being operated by a male who appeared intoxicated. The male was arrested for driving while intoxicated.

On August 27, 2016, Deputy Zapf responded to the 1300 Block of Shore Line, in reference to a terroristic threat call. A male stole a weed eater from a lawn trailer. The reportee called the owner to inform him of the theft. The male suspect told the reportee he was going to kill him for reporting the theft and he was arrested for terroristic threat.

On August 27, 2016, Deputy Ford observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation at the intersection of Skylane Drive and Mohawk. The male driver was arrested for driving while license invalid and a fail to appear warrant.

On August 28, 2016, Deputy Toliver observed a vehicle being operated by a female commit a traffic violation at the intersection of Lake Island and Walden Road. The female driver of the vehicle was arrested for driving while intoxicated.

On August 29, 2016, Deputy Fisher responded to FM 1486 and Highway 105 to meet a Grimes County unit who had an active felony warrant for an individual for motion to revoke. A female was arrested.

On August 30, 2016, Deputy Kirby assisted Deputy Warren with a traffic stop at the intersection of Walden Road and La Jolla Circle. During a search of the vehicle and occupants, methamphetamines were located in the clothing of a female who was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.

District 6 – Lt. David Dottei (Woodlands)

On August 29, Deputy Trevino was dispatched to a welfare check at Evergreen and Grogan’s Mill Road. Upon arrival, Deputy Trevino located and made contact with the suspect, a 57-year-old male, who was in the process of finishing a bottle of vodka. The suspect provided other indicators of intoxication. After an investigation, the male was taken into custody for public intoxication. The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

On August 30, Deputy Walters was dispatched to a trespasser in progress call on Chestnut Oak Place. The suspect, a 28-year-old female, had a court order stating she was not to be on the property. It was discovered the suspect was on scene the night before and had taking a bicycle to flee on before law enforcement arrived. The suspect was taken into custody for trespassing, as well as criminal mischief, for breaking a window, and transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

On September 1, Deputy Evans assisted Deputy Maduzia on a suspicious person call at 12000 Sawmill Road. The suspect, a 53-year-old male, was reportedly back at the apartment complex after assaulting an employee with a chair earlier in the day. The suspect was located on the bicycle path and fled when asked to stop. The suspect was taken into custody a short distance away and was charged with evading arrest and assault and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

On September 2, Deputy Fleming was dispatched to 592 Sawdust Road, in reference to a disturbance in progress. Upon arrival, the suspect, a 24-year-old male, was found to be intoxicated and refused to get a ride home from a sober driver. The suspect was taken into custody for public intoxication and transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

On September 4, Deputy Lackey was dispatched to the intersection of Grogan’s Mill and North Millbend, in reference to a welfare check. Upon arrival, he met with the suspect, a 50-year-old male, who had a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from his breath as they were speaking. The suspect had been waiting on a cab, due to his vehicle having a flat tire, but was refused transport due to arguing with the cab driver. The suspect was unable to locate a sober individual to provide him a ride home, was subsequently arrested for public intoxication, and transported to the Montgomery County Jail without further incident.
