The preliminary crash investigation indicates Monday, May 10 at approximately 5:15 a.m., a 2012 Freightliner (Truck Tractor Semi-Trailer) was traveling east on FM 787. An unknown vehicle traveling west on FM 787 disregarded a traffic control signal causing the Freightliner to veer south into the guard rail and over the Trinity River bridge. The driver of the unknown vehicle failed to stop and render aid. The driver of the Freightliner, 51-year-old Jonathan Patrick Mullican out of Porter, TX, was transported to Memorial Hermann and pronounced deceased at 8:11 a.m., by medical staff. This is an ongoing investigation. There is no additional information available for release at this time.
