SHERIFF’S OFFICE RECEIVES DONATION FROM THE GRIMES COUNTY MAKE A CHRISTMAS HAPPEN

On the date of Monday, March 271h 2017, The Grimes County Sheriff’s Office received a $500 donation from Grimes County “Make a Christmas Happen”. This donation will be used for departmental needs.
This donation was presented by David & Becky Lewis of Iola. The Grimes County “Make a Christmas Happen” has been in operation for the past 11 years and consists of approximately 20 members and is a non-profit organization.
The primary goal of this organization is to help families and children who are in need throughout Grimes County with food, clothing, appliances, bedding, and other items. In 2016, The Grimes County “Make a Christmas Happen” assisted 10 families and approximately 30 children.
“Make a Christmas Happen” receives monetary donations through fundraisers and personal donations. Members are given names of families who are in need which items are purchased for and provided during the Christmas Holidays.
