About 8:30 Saturday night, Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers Lopez and Sullivan responded to an auto vs. building crash at the Abby Mart on FM 2090 and Morgan Drive, just outside Splendora.
Laday Corre, 22 was driving a Dodge 1-ton flatbed truck. She pulled up to the side of the building, and for unknown reasons, accelerated crashing through the building’s wall. The clerk, who was standing with his back to the wall, jumped out of the way as cigarette shelving and display racks came crashing down.
There were no injuries but there was extensive damage to the wall of the building.
