About 930pm Firecomm dispatched a call all firefighters dread. A house fire with people trapped. Cut and Shoot , Caney Creek and North Montgomery County Fire Departments responded to the mobile home on North Emerson Drive. Cut and Shoot was the first to arrive and reported a porch on fire.
As other units continued they were advised to slow their response as it was only a mattress fire and the home owner had gotten it out on the porch. In doing so a 19-year-old received minor burns to the back and another resident minor burns to the feet. The damage was very limited inside the home.
MCHD responded and treated both at the scene.
The fire is under investigation.
