At 805am Monday DPS investigated a fatal crash on FM 834 near Hardin. According to DPS, Ronnie E. Huff, 64 of Hull, Texas was driving his 2011 Ford Focus west on FM 834 when he attempted a u-turn. A 2012 Chevrolet Colorado driven by Garet M. Kervin, 17 of Votaw, Texas and his passenger Joshua Hendrix, 17 of Saratoga was traveling behind him was unable to stop and struck the Ford Focus. Huff was transported to Liberty-Dayton Medical Center in Liberty where he was pronounced deceased.

Scott provided video, and as the blog grew in popularity, businesses began to inquire about advertising. The blog soon transitioned to a news website, and then to a print newspaper, which was sold in over 100 stores, and through subscription for several years.
Scott Engle and Jamie Nash are Montgomery County residents and veteran law enforcement / breaking news reporters, who met covering a law enforcement story and have covered multiple counties, with Scott as a television videographer for multiple local stations and national networks, and Jamie as newspaper / magazine / online reporter.
