10 am :

The current release from the Lake Livingston Dam REMAINS at 72,600 and the lake level continues to slowly fall, now at approx. 132.03 or about a foot over normal pool level.

Current Trinity River levels:

Romayor 37.7 and stable

Liberty 29.94 and stable

Moss Bluff 14.8 and stable

The weather forecast for the next seven days does not call for any significant rainfall. The water currently in the Trinity River basin above Lake Livingston is making its way towards the lake and we are hopeful that the lake level is down far enough by the time it reaches the lake, that no additional discharge increases will be necessary.  Trinity River Authority officials will monitor the flow and keep us updated on release data.

We are receiving a few calls regarding FEMA, and as of right now we do not have FEMA assistance available.  A disaster declaration has been filed with the state and we are in the process of obtaining damage assessments, but with the water still over roadways in most riverfront subdivisions, it may be a while before we can gain access and determine the actual damage to roads, homes and other facilities.

If you have water damage INSIDE your home and would like to report that to us, please call our office at 936-334-3219.

The Red Cross shelter remains open at 318 San Jacinto Street in Liberty, however, only 4 people stayed at the location over the last few nights and I am not certain how much longer it will remain operational.

All in all, things are slowly improving and we will continue to update as conditions warrant.
